Frugal Christmas Presents. Get ready for an avalanche of ideas that wont kill the wallet.
Took me ages to press send on this one. I think I’ll have to do a follow up post.
My clever friend Ness - from Marley & Lockyer, puts up her Christmas tree in August.
I thought she was nuts. She said she does it every year as it makes her happier - and this week I read a piece that according to The Independent in the UK ‘People who put up Christmas decorations earlier are happier people.’ Ness is right.
So this year I thought bugger it. I decided I’m doing it too. So the last few weeks have seen me getting alittle swingy jazz on my Spotify account & upping the Christmas game.
So far on this ‘Get myself in to the spirit’ I’ve made a drunken Christmas fruit cake mix from all the pantry dried fruit stock (figured that after Christmas dried fruit will be sale and I can stock up for next year), gathered botanicals for wreaths1 and took a walk though the pine forest up the to select a ‘future’ tree.
But mainly also been working out how to make it simple. To enjoy the spirit so it’s festive - but not with gallons stress, overwhelm or cost.
