A great option for olive oil is Nuggetty Creek Olives. They’re in Victoria but deliver to the rest of Australia. We buy a 20 litre drum of oil from them which lasts us the best part of a year. The last drum we bought was $180, free delivery. I see the price has gone up to $205 but it’s still very cheap per litre for quality oil.
WOW, what a read this morning, who would have thought !!!!
As usual I find that I am looking forward to your posts because , not only are they extremely informative and so random but also highly entertaining and I am learning stuff along the way.
Another option RE olive oil is to harvest wild olives yourself next year from roadsides and pay processing fees at a local olive oil processing place like we do here in the Barossa. Assuming there are wild olives around. There are loads here. You want back country roads though. It's cheaper, low embedded energy and super fresh (which supermarket oil most often isn't). Expect it to be intense in flavour and colour though, and to throw some sediment. X

Well thanks for all that at Jo.
I’m looking into buying some Australian olive oil shares now!
