Well, here on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland we are having the opposite problem to you. This year is one of our wettest Wet Seasons in decades and we’re looking for strategies to deal with all of the extra water. (Although we ironically already use so many of your tips above!) Extra water tanks, water diversions and swales are wonderful but then there’s the mud, mould and constant damp. Those of us with fireplaces are lighting up to keep hours houses dry.
Australia is such an amazingly diverse place with extreme weather becoming expected everywhere. If only we could pass some rain down to you all. x
